I hope you are all enjoying your summer! School is starting and that means dance is too! I have a lot of exciting things to share with you so here is your Back To Class Newsletter!

Classes start August 3!

Along with a monthly newsletter I will be sending a weekly Monday Email. In this email will be weekly happenings and reminders. Once class starts and you are not getting the Monday emails please contact the front desk to make sure we have your correct email address.

Stay connected! There are many ways you can get your important studio information. We have bulletin boards inside the studio, a website that can be updated daily and I can send out reminders and information via Twitter and Facebook. I encourage you to join Twitter and Facebook (both are free). Here is how to find us:
Twitter: Once you set up your account search Eastcountypac or copy http://twitter.com/Eastcountypac into your browser. Click on our profile, click on Follow and turn your device on. If you want to set up Twitter but are not sure how to do it please give us a call and we can help you!
Facebook: After setting up your account, type East County Performing Arts Center in the search bar in the upper right hand corner. Once you are at our page click Become A Fan. You will then be able to get all of our updates!

One last way to get your information is your Family Folder. Each family has a folder with your name on it located in the file carts as you walk into the studio. We try to conserve paper so you won’t always have information there, but it is always a good idea to check it every week.

Class requirements: If your child is enrolled in Pre-Ballet through Ballet 5; girls are required to wear pink tights, black leotard, pink split sole ballet shoes (not the satin slippers you can buy at Wal-Mart or Target) and her hair must be pulled into a bun. On our website under the Showcase heading there are instructions on how to do a ballet bun. Boys are required to wear black pants (stretchy), white tee shirts and black split sole ballet shoes.
For all other classes dancers need to come dressed in clothing that is conducive to movement. No dresses, skirts or denim. There are detailed class descriptions online under the Classes and Pricing heading

We have a Parent Handbook that tells you all about studio policies and procedures. You will find this handbook in your Family Folder, sent to your email and on the website.

We have a lot of fun events and important dates you need to be aware of. Because of that we have a studio calendar, this calendar will be in your Family Folder the first week of class, sent to your email, posted on the bulletin boards and located on our website.

Costume ordering: This year we have a new way to order costumes. Parents will be ordering their own costumes and having them shipped directly to their house. You will get your costume assignment and all the information you need to log-on and order your costume.

Fun stuff for the dancers!
Good Grades Board: Bring a copy of your GREAT report card to the studio and we will post it up on our bulletin board. We are always very proud of our good students!
Dance Dollars: Dance Dollars are awarded in class to students for many reasons, wearing the proper dance attire, hair in a bun, good attendance, good practicing just to name a few. These dollars can then be saved and used to purchase items from our Treasure Boxes, for ECPAC Tee-Shirts or to book an ice cream date with your teacher!
Students Of The Month: Each month we choose 10 dancers to receive a Student of the Month Award. Along with this award dancers get 5 Dance Dollars and a certificate for Baskin Robins.
